Gower Seal Group are local people who care about these iconic animals and the marine environment they live in. We love giving talks and telling people some amazing seal facts. Seals are very sensitive animals and are often disturbed by people.

Did you know that the seals that visit Gower are globally rare and that they don’t actually live here full time? Our beautiful coastline is a perfect place for the North Atlantic Grey Seal to visit whilst travelling around the Celtic Sea and beyond.

We believe that this disturbance is unintentional and people don’t realise the effects on such creatures. That’s where we can help by providing information to visitors, schoolchildren, locals and organisations so that everyone can live in harmony.

We love looking at seals and we want you to do the same by following just a few simple tips on our ‘Give Seals Space’ information leaflet.

All marine wildlife lives in a natural world shaped by the decisions that we make today. Be that person who makes the right decision. Your local seals, and all wildlife on Gower, will definitely appreciate it.
