Food Bank Collections

Updated: 11th September 2026

Weekly deadline: The Food Bank team has the same deadline every week for collection from the bus shelter – 6pm on Thursdays for delivery on Fridays (but you can leave contributions at any time).

We take contributions to the Lamplighter in Bishopston, for onward delivery to the Trussell Trust. Food bank use has escalated in recent years. Please help by contributing just one item if you can to this worthy charity. Every single item makes a difference, but they must be non-perishable and in date. If you wish to read more, do visit their website trusselltrust.org.

All the usual non-perishable goods are much-needed at the moment. Anything you choose to give (even one single item) will be very, very welcome and will ‘make a difference’.

Particularly needed at the moment:
Tinned spaghetti
Tinned meat
Tinned tomatoes
Tinned veg
Baked beans
