Food Bank Collections

Updated: 28th April 2024

Next deadline: Please leave anything you’d like to contribute in the bus shelter by 6pm on Wednesday 1st May.

We take contributions to the Lamplighter in Bishopston, for onward delivery to the Trussell Trust. Food bank use has escalated in recent years. Please help by contributing just one item if you can to this worthy charity. Every single item makes a difference, but they must be non-perishable and in date. If you wish to read more, do visit their website trusselltrust.org.

All the usual non-perishable goods are much-needed at the moment. Anything you choose to give (even one single item) will be very, very welcome and will ‘make a difference’.

Items that are always needed are:
Tea
Coffee
Long life milk (dairy and non-dairy)
Breakfast cereal
Soups
Baked Beans
Tinned meat & veg
Tinned fruit, custard, rice pudding
Biscuits
Longlife fruit juices
Sanitary products
Dental products
Sally, Lesley-Anne and Helen x x x
