We’re delighted to welcome local volunteers from the Swansea Branch of Samaritans Cymru for a friendly, informal talk on June 25th at RVH, from 10:00-12:00. The Samaritans is one of the UK’s most well-known charities, providing a listening ear to anyone feeling overwhelmed. No matter the time of day, their volunteers offer confidential, non-judgmental support.

This won’t be a formal presentation – just an open conversation where Wynne and his co-volunteer will first tell you about the work of the Samaritans. After sharing some insights, they’ll then be led by your questions.

Ever wondered how to spot when someone might need help? Not sure how to start that kind of conversation? Is there a “right” thing to say? They’ll help us explore these important questions and offer practical advice on supporting those who may be struggling.

Tea and coffee will be provided and there will be an opportunity afterwards to talk to the volunteers on a 1-2-1 basis.

There’s no charge for the event, but if you’d like to make a donation to Samaritans Cymru on the day, it would be greatly appreciated.
