A new year, a fresh start, new hope! My mission is to raise money for a cause which has recently become dear to me and my family. My daughter, Ruth, had emergency brain surgery and treatment last year, which turned our world upside down – in more ways than one (Ruth lives in Australia). Our chosen charity is Brain Tumour Research who fund long-term, sustainable research to find a cure for brain tumours. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease.
